Rinko Kawauchi born in Japan in 1972 but later moved to Tokyo where he studied photography at the University Seian of Art and Design and graduated in 1993. It started as a freelance photographer in 2001 but was released in the world of photography with the simultaneous release of 3 books, Utatane, Hanabi and Hanako. Since then he has published a number of monographs of which the most recent addition is the illuminance. It seems that his images are simple, but they evoke primary emotions in the viewer, to pay attention to small gestures and details in their environment, finds the extraordinary in the mundane. The issue in his books is crucial to their work and the stories they want to count.
