Eric Bouvet born in France in 1961 but his career did not begin until 1981 after studying graphic art in Paris. During the 80′s worked as a photographer Gamma agency staff and it was in 1990 when he launched his freelance career and has since been an independent photojournalist. He has traveled the world covering events and conflict zones like Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, former Yugoslavia and Libya. He has covered the war in Chechnya and Afghanistan has visited a dozen times since 1986. His images have a close and intimate nature. His work has appeared in numerous magazines including Time, Life, Newsweek, Stern and the New York Times Magazine. He has worked with a variety of organizations and charities such as Doctors Without Borders and the International Red Cross.
