Last Tuesday I received an email from Maxïmo Park announcing the video new single “Hips and Lips”, from his new album “The National Health” that will release on 11th June.
Maxïmo Park, are back after three years from his “Quicken The Heart” (2009).
The video for “Hips and Lips” shows us a fan obsessed with the band (the room is wallpapered with images of Maxïmo Park and Paul Smith (singer)) making a home video, the fan is no other than Thomas Turgoose, who many will recognize as the star of This is England, and at the end of the video is surprise because not only has the room papered but something more …
Paul himself confesses about his involvement in the video it’s a bit different for us (usually the humour is unintentional…) and my own role within it was the most claustrophobic have enjoyed since another brush with bedroom furniture in the “Apply Some Pressure” video.
