Ron Haviv is an American photo-journalist whose work has covered all types of international conflicts and humanitarian crises around the world since the end of the Cold War.

This photographer is known for its extensive documentation of the Yugoslav wars, including the sieges of Sarajevo and the Croatian city of Vukovar, the atrocities carried out in the Serbian concentration camps in Bosnia, and the practice of ethnic cleansing carried out by the Arkan’s tigers. He has also photographed the city of Juarez and the destruction caused by the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, and the subsequent cholera epidemic.

Haviv is one of seven co-founders, along with Alexandra Boulat, Gary Knight, Antonin Kratochvil, Christopher Morris, James Nachtwey and John Stanmeyer of the VII Photo Agency.
